We are very excited to have added a stunning collection of wax print cottons to our fabric range.
These Dutch Wax Prints are also known as African wax prints, are produced using a batik influenced method that the Dutch developed from Indonesian batik. These fabrics then became popular in West Africa through Dutch colonisation and the colorful cloths are still popular in African dress making and influence modern fashion and textiles. A great feature of these materials is the lack of difference in the color intensity of front and back side as well as the fabric lending itself to more structured garments.
115cm wide the price is per quarter metre. Add multiples and fabric will be cut as a continuous piece.
